1.6657 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloyed case-hardening steel developed for the aerospace industry.
 Due to its excellent properties, it is now also used in

 The density of 14NiCrMo13-4 is 7.85.

Applications
1.6657 is often used for turbines and engine parts.
Heat Treatment
Soft annealing at 620 - 650 C°, slow controlled furnace cooling at 10 to 20 C° per hour
 until approx. 600 C° are reached, after which further cooling takes place in the air.
Hardening and tempering at 150 - 200 C°, cooling in air.
