El material 1.8550 es un acero de nitruración. Los aceros de nitruración siempre se usan cuando se requiere una alta dureza superficial, una buena resistencia al desgaste y un área de núcleo dúctil. 34CrAlNi7-10 es ampliamente utilizado en ingeniería automotriz y general.
